How Turn uses text messages
Turn is reservation software for restaurants and bars. Guests book a table with their phone number. Every message we send is about a booking that guest just made. We never send marketing by text.
■ Who gets a message
Only someone who has entered their own mobile number on a venue's booking page and submitted a booking. That is the opt-in: the number is typed by the guest, on the page, to make the reservation. No number is bought, scraped, imported or shared between venues for messaging.

■ How often
At most three messages per booking: one confirmation, one reminder on the day, one feedback request afterwards. A guest who does not book receives nothing. There is no recurring or scheduled campaign.
■ Stopping messages
Reply STOP to any message and that number receives nothing further from Turn, from any venue. Standard message and data rates may apply.
Stopping messages does not cancel a booking. The table stays booked and the guest keeps their account and their Turn Score — what stops is the messaging, in both directions, between them and the restaurant.
Booking again asks to be messaged again, so it switches messages back on. A guest can change or cancel a booking from the link in their message at any time without replying to anything.
■ Privacy
A number is stored to identify the guest across bookings and to send the messages above. It is visible to the venue the guest booked with, so they can contact that guest about that booking. It is never sold, never rented, and never used for third-party marketing.
